Colorado senators on Monday will hear seven gun bills in two separate committees meeting at the same time, setting the stage for a long and wild day at the state Capitol.
When four gun bills were heard in the House two weeks ago, Second Amendment activists showed up en masse and additional committee rooms were opened so citizens could hear the proceedings.
Four of the bills to be heard Monday already have passed the House; the other three are being heard in the Senate first. All are sponsored by Democrats, who control the House, Senate and governor’s office.
